In his work, Kobeissy tackles subjects such as family and home, with a strong connection to local and current identity, however without claiming to represent what »traditional music« is. His work process relies on the local urban soundscape as the main generator of his sonic language.

In 2016 he co-founded the duo Two or The Dragon with Lebanese percussionist Ali Hout. His music for solo, duo, and quartets has beenperformed in various international festivals, including Berlin International Film Festival, Supersonic Music Festival, and Le Festival d’Avignon, among other.
