With a passion for ethereal soundscapes and an unshakeable influence from Slavic folk melodies, Moa Pillar describes his sound as »spiritual bass.« A trifecta of albums released on Russian label Full of Nothing – Humanity, Hymns, and No Expectations – form a majestic manifestation melding uncompromising rhythms and captivating, choir-like vocals in a haunting balance between intensity and tranquility. This carries over into Moa Pillar's performance as well: »I want the live show to feel like a confession. You come, you cleanse your soul, you die – in a way – and after that, you feel reborn.«
Leading up to his appearance at Unsound, the artist filmed his own journey to the festival as part of »Inner Space: Siberia,« joining PAN artist Helm and Greek duo onstage to perform an audiovisual collaboration. Fedor Pareverzev is also a co-founder of Monoleak, an audio-branding company that has produced music for clients like NASA and Mercedes.
