In the 20 years following her breakout hit »Fuck the Pain Away,« Peaches has duetted with Iggy Pop, remixed Daft Punk, taken on the title role in Monteverdi's L’Orfeo, exhibited at the Kunstverein in Hamburg, and been called a »genuine hero« by The New York Times. Meanwhile, the electro-rap track and the album that spawned it, The Teaches of Peaches, have literally been cited within academia.

In 2020, the queen of queer Berlin released the mobilising single »Flip This,« contributed to the T. Rex tribute album Angelheaded Hipster alongside Nick Cave and Joan Jett, and provided vocals on tracks by Maya Jane Coles and Wolfram. She also appeared in Playboy, and although she kept her clothes on, Peaches remained as explicit as ever: »We know how to say ›toxic masculinity,‹ but what does healthy masculinity look like? We need [it] represented in a way that intersectional feminism and queer culture are going to accept, help, and nurture.«
