FJAAK formed in 2009, originally as a DJ/production team, and nowadays continuing as the duo of Felix Wagner and Aaron Röbig. Following a string of hard-hitting 12″ singles and EPs on labels Baalsaal, Klasse, and 50Weapons, the scene veterans released the first full-length FJAAK album in 2017 via Monkeytown Records.

In 2019, Wagner and Röbig made a fresh start, streamlining their efforts to establish SPANDAU20. Part of the family are J. Manuel, a sound designer and producer affiliated with Tectonic who shows his love for IDM in his hardware-based live sets; ANNA Z, an audio-visual artist who has also worked with other labels such as Dystopian; and Claus Schöning, a student of art whose productions combine techno with elements of electro-funk, breakbeat, and ambient.
