Beyond their outstanding instrumental skills they display a neverending joy in experiments. Through years of tight cooperation they have created an entity of sound that is regarded for its artistic approach as well as openness to the most diverse ideas and concepts in contemporary music.

Close cooperation with up-and-coming composers and incorporating digital media are key to the ensemble’s work. A special focal point is the reflection of new approaches in performance, such as including scenic and visual elements, and testing new concert formats, shedding light on shared contexts, connecting individual works, consolidating current musical strands, and probing new sonic perspectives. In cooperation with artists from other fields and musical genres, their concerts become experimental designs.
