Since 2015, Anelena Toku and Carla Boregas have been developing an investigation of sound related to other senses and languages. Drawing on different media, the São Paulo-based duo combine experimental electronic and electroacoustic compositions alongside other practices, such as video, live performance, installation, site-specific work, and sound dramaturgy.

Some highlights from their works are the sound dramaturgy of the play Revolta Lilith; »Cri,« a sound piece for synthesisers, crickets, and birds; the live performance for FACT Magazine filmed in São Paulo’s metropolis downtown; and a site-specific work for sauna, »Castanho,« produced during residency at Silo – Arte e Latitude Rural. One of their most recent works, »Clarão,« was commissioned by Festival Novas Frequências in 2020 and consists of an audiovisual piece and incense. Their latest album Flama was released in 2018 by the Japanese label Depth of Decay.
