Well-known as a Berghain resident and the operator of the vinyl-only label naïf, Efdemin’s music is infused with elegant darkness and discreet beauty. However, as evident from his LPs and 12-inches for Dial, Curle, and Ostgut Ton; his remixes (such as for Depeche Mode); his Pigon project together with RNDM; or his drone and ambient pieces under his own name, Sollman is equally at home in very different circles. Calm, cool, and collected no matter his surroundings, he’s now a part of the art world as much as electronic music, moving effortlessly from intelligent pop to experimental realms, and leaves his mark on each.
