She completed her interdisciplinary degree in Arts, Economics, and Business Management sciences at WITS University. For her, specific societal challenges are too complex for any one discipline or industry to solve alone. By applying multiple unique theoretical perspectives and intersecting traditions, her research not only constructs robust arguments, but takes on a holistic approach to reason and tease out the many types of relationships between different ideological aspects within a complex system.

Mooketsi has written and published numerous essays where she proposes a possible dignified model for South Africa's popular music sector.
