Fundraising for Save the Children’s Emergency Fund for the Palestinian Territories, and for the Alliance for Middle East Peace

We call for an end to the ongoing violence and advocate for an immediate and definitive ceasefire, for urgently getting more help into Gaza, and for the release of all hostages. We support everyone that works for lasting peace and the realisation of freedom, and full and equal human rights for all people in Palestine and Israel.

You will find donation boxes at all CTM 2024 venue entrances / box offices, and at the festival info counters. An equal share of all proceeds will be donated to each organisation and we at CTM will further contribute to the overall donation amount, as we have done in the past. We will publish the proof of donation as soon as we have transferred the proceeds to each recipient organisation.

We encourage anyone who does not have cash with them when visiting a CTM Festival event to consider donating to these or other humanitarian aid organisations or other regional peace initiatives.

Donations will be received by Save the Children Germany, part of the international organisation Save the Children which has been operating in the Palestinian territories – the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza – since 1953. The child rights organisation provides emergency aid to people in immediate need and also implements longer-term projects. In recent months, Save the Children and partners have been working around the clock to get vital supplies to families in the Gaza strip – such as drinking water, food, hygiene products, mattresses, blankets, and games and other recreational items. Inside the Gaza strip, teams continue to distribute these supplies across shelters and households and run recreational activities for children to support their emotional wellbeing. In Egypt, Save the Children supports children and families being evacuated from the Gaza strip for medical treatment. Save the Children also helps families impacted by the increased violence in the West Bank since 7th October. The teams provide cash and recreational items to families who have been displaced, and assistive devices for children with disabilities and injuries. Save the Children will continue to respond in this way for as long as supplies and circumstances allow. But it is a drop in the ocean. Immediate, unfettered, and sustained access is urgently needed to enable the necessary full-scale response to critical and rising needs faced by children and families.

The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) is a network of 160 Palestinian and Israeli organisations working to build linkages between their societies to catalyse peace between both peoples. In response to the current crisis, they have established an emergency operation to mobilise resources and provide assistance to dozens of organisations on the ground, tending to the immediate needs of vulnerable populations while activating Israeli-Palestinian grassroots networks to counter rhetoric of dehumanisation and to advocate cooperative paths forward for genuine conflict resolution and peace.

Organisations such as Standing Together, Tomorrow's Youth Organization, Women Wage Peace, Jahalin Solidarity, and Extend are part of the alliance.
