Her compositions implement specific tuning systems in minimalist structure for pipe organ, choir, chamber music ensembles, and electroacoustic formats. Malone’s music is rich with harmonic texture, brought forth through synthetic and acoustic instrumentation in repetitive motions and extended durations. Her compositions emit distinct emotive, dynamic, and affective hues which bring forth a stunning depth of focus.

In 2016, Malone co-founded the record label and concert series XKatedral together with Maria W Horn in Stockholm. Her critically-acclaimed albums The Sacrificial Code [2019] and Living Torch [2022] are major works featuring longform pieces radiant with profound emotional resonance, and her 2023’s Does Spring Hide Its Joy featuring Stephen O'Malley & Lucy Railton coaxed secret worlds out of an immersive three hour dronescape. Her new album All Life Long is due February 9, 2024.
