With formative encounters with the jungle, dubstep, and grime scene in her native Rotterdam, audiovisual artist and graphic designer Soft Break melds the tender with the tumultuous in her work. Delicate vocals skitter atop footwork and hip-hop snares, heavy percussion, and heavier bass in works that feel both piercing and at times ethereal. A founder of the mix curation collective AMPFEMININE, her work amplifies the voices of femme-identifying artists, musicians, and other collectives, causes, and brands. After killer sets last year for Boiler Room, Rewire, and many more, we can’t wait to see her slay at CTM.
