Workshops from Artists to Artists | 30 Jan–4 Feb 2023

A2A Transmission

A series of workshops for artists by artists, with an aim to help sound practitioners expand their skill sets and practices.

Installation

Collective Control 0

The Participative Audio Lab (PAL) is a newly-formed initiative focused on collective creation and the development of open source tools that allow artists to create and distribute their own participative musical experiences without the need of coding skills. They will present their first creation at CTM 2023, a live participative music installation developed via an open-call hackathon, which allows users to create and register collective compositions remotely.

Commissioned Works Exploring Hybrid Radio Possibilities

CTM Radio Lab

Winning projects by Anna Kravets and Isuru Kumarasinghe will premiere at CTM. The commissioned works explore the intersection of radio with live or generative installation mediums within the context of the festival’s Portals theme.

Collective Artistic Experimentation | 30 Jan–4 Feb 2023

MusicMakers Hacklab

Drawing from the geographical image of surfaces fragmented at their borders, revealing active and unstable forces beneath, we invite artists to connect not only in harmonious co-creation but via turbulent forces of push and pull. Following an intensive week of collaboration to exchange and shape new musical and performance ideas, Hacklab fellows will premiere their new works at a public finale concert.
