Over the past 10 years CTM has collected donations for a variety of causes and organisations. In light of the catastrophic Israel-Gaza war this year we, and our sister festival transmediale, will collect donations for ALLMEP – the Alliance for Middle East Peace, and Save the Children's Emergency Fund for the Palestinian Territories.

I Am Your Body

What is deafness if not another mode of perception? What is a cyborg if not an exploded mirror of today’s corporeal experience? »Ex Silens« is part of the series I Am Your Body, a long-term project by Marco Donnarumma that investigates deafness, sound, and (artificial) intelligence through participatory research driven by and with d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Irish Focus at CTM 2024

A notable focus on artists from Ireland is woven throughout this edition, weaving collective sounds and stories from the country thanks to the Zeitgeist Irland 24 initiative by Culture Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland in Germany. Zeitgeist Irland 24 aims to showcase Irish talent to German audiences throughout 2024.

Refuge Worldwide x CTM

Daily radio shows with CTM festival artists, a workshop at Refuge's Oona bar, and a dedicated dancefloor within CTM's club programme will feature a range of sounds and voices from Berlin's local community and beyond.

Vorspiel

Vorspiel is an initiative by transmediale and CTM Festival that aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Berlin's independent project spaces and artist initiatives active in music and sound, visual and media arts, as well as connected hybrid fields. Uniting a large number of local initiatives, the programme will run parallel to both festivals.
