CTM Festival's year-round office is located in the ACUD artist center in Berlin-Mitte. During the festival, we set up a festival info counter at two of our core festivals locations.

Music demos can be sent to submissions@ctm-festival.de at any time of year, and they will be forwarded to our curatorial team. Please be sure to provide short information about yourself and your project. Since we receive massive amounts of demos, please note that we are only able to respond to applications that we are seriously interested in.

At the core of CTM is a desire to bring together people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, cultures, and identities. The festival takes shape every year as different lifestyles, interests, and ideas converge. A balanced, wide-ranging, and inclusive lineup is a crucial, yet constantly evolving, part of our approach.

In the current climate, awareness and the conversations around it become ever more important. We have therefore actualised this code of conduct, which applies to everyone participating in or contributing to the festival – visitors, artists, partners, and team.

As awareness and conversations develop, we consistently work towards making our festival as welcome and safe as possible. This extends to people of all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, races, abilities, physical appearances, body sizes, ages, religions, socio-economic statuses, backgrounds, nationalities, and birthplaces. We urge everyone to be considerate of others; all attendees contribute to the culture and atmosphere of the festival, and we ask everyone to consider the ways in which they participate, and the energy that they bring.

At CTM, we have a zero tolerance policy towards discrimination, harassment, and abuse in any form. The use of derogatory language, any form of harassment, racism, antisemitism, sexism, transphobia, ableism, queerphobia, classism, and any form of discrimination and oppressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

In light of the devastating violence in Israel and Palestine and its international repercussions, we’d like to reiterate our zero tolerance policy towards discrimination including antisemitism, anti-Muslim racism, ideologies of inequality, and racisms of any kind. Incitement of hate or violence against, and bullying, or negative stereotyping of, any individuals or groups of people will not be tolerated.

If you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation at any festival event, please approach the staff at the CTM Infocounter (located at silent green and radialsystem), or a venue’s box office, bar, or security staff. You can also email us at wesupportyou[at]ctm-festival.de to report incidents.

We have a designated awareness team at most CTM 2024 club events, who you can contact in case you feel uncomfortable or unsafe. They’ll be wearing bright fuschia/pink t-shirts with the words »Take Care of Each Other,« and will be at the following venues: Berghain / Panorama Bar, OXI, and RSO.Berlin.

While photography is generally allowed (except for full bans at Berghain, OXI, and RSO.Berlin), we highly recommend experiencing the festival away from the screens of your mobile phones. When taking photos and videos with your phone, please do not use flash, and please be mindful of others around you (lower screen brightness, cover screen with your hand).

We will implement this code of conduct throughout the festival. All reports will be treated seriously and responded to promptly and confidentially. No decisions on how to respond to the incident will be made without the consent of the affected person. We expect cooperation from all participants and attendees to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Individuals who are asked to stop inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. CTM and partner venues reserve the right to exclude anyone violating the code of conduct, without refund.

We are always working to come up with measures we can take to ensure that our artists and attendees feel safe and welcome. That doesn’t mean we always get it right, but we do our best to make sure we learn from any feedback, incidents, or mistakes to make sure they will not happen again. The CTM team is grateful to participate in crucial awareness conversations with multiple voices and partners. We are committed to improving and educating ourselves, including broadening our understanding of various forms of racism and antisemitism, and other forms of discrimination through diverse literature and perspectives, so that we can adopt an informed and sensitive approach. We encourage everyone to do the same.
