Scholars and artists present research and projects related to the CTM 2024 Sustain theme. This year’s speakers were selected via open call from over 200 applicants, and will touch on topics of AI-voice explorations, the body in music practice, and sounds & locality. Free entry.

Quantum Computing & Sound

Goethe-Institut’s »Studio Quantum« will present a series of exploratory talks and groundbreaking performances around quantum technologies and music. A quantum computer deals with information encoded as quantum bits – or qubits. In hardware, qubits live in the subatomic world, subject to the laws of quantum mechanics, opening new and exciting opportunities for creative practices.

CTM Magazine

Read specially commissioned essays and interviews that give further insight into projects and topics of CTM 2024 – Sustain, and access further original writing, aimed to facilitate a deeper understanding of contemporary sound practices. Essays will include writing from a number of contributors selected via this year's open call – congratulations to: Anandit Sachdev, Masha Kashyna, oxi peng, Sai Versailles & Sean Bautista, and Ulya Soley & Yelta Köm. Articles will be published as of January and into spring 2024.
